Starting on a jack stand rack

Hi! I went to ACE and bought some lesser expensive angle iron, or angle metal, not sure what it is. It's not my idea for the design, I saw someone had made this type of Jack Rack on Garagejournal to get the darned jack stands off of the floor.

This is obviously for my 6 ton stands, then I have some 3 ton stands I'll do the same for, then paint them. Guess I'll have to buy some HF orange paint! Or I thought about just selling these on CL, then go buy some new ones when they're on sale:metal: Probably not.

These stands below are mainly used when I have a vehicle on my Maxjax lift. I can put a vehicle on the low tall stands, then remove my maxjax. People not knowing wonder how I get my truck so high up! Or I use them as further safety when I'm under a vehicle.
I'll be making a rack for these stands too;) This pic was from a while back, I don't really have anything to work on at the moment, just preparing the garage for when I get my Triumph TR6 here:metal:

Just finished my Jack Racks! I also got a part I've been needing for my plasma cutter and it really saved me some time, I have its lead suspended by a bungy cord, and there my Northern Tools 135amp mig. I'm very pleased the way the racks turned out even though I did them in a hurry. My phone never quits ringing, and my husband ,"when will you be done? lol

Blazer, this is a link to my site and tells about it with pictures. If you have any other questions, pm me~ I'd be more than happy to tell you all you may need to know;)

Thanks everyone! Now I just need to figure out what to do with my bolt box/misc.box in the corner. It's full of nuts, bolt, metal, that usually saves the day, even though it might take me a lot of stirring to find that "lost" nut or bolt. Back to the garage!

Where did you pick up those tall jack stands? I've seen them in people's shops, but never at a store.

Thank you! Wow, 2 and half hours on my Classic Cars and Tools! Awesome! Do you go to the Nifty50ee's by chance? It was great attendance last night and the weather was awesome too for a change! It's every Saturday night unless the weather turns crappy, then no one goes! Hope to see you there!
