Dual Master cylinder with Drum Drum?
Sorry if this is a stupid question but my 66 has manual 4 wheel drum brakes. I would like to use a dual master cylinder to add a little safety to the truck. Is this possible or am I stuck with a single?

Re: Dual Master cylinder with Drum Drum?
Welcome to the forum.
This is not only possible, but a very smart idea. This link is from the FAQ page of the 60-66 forums, an extremely valuable resource that one of the board members, Woogeroo, put hours into. It's a great go-to place to answer just about every question you might have, and then you can fine-tune the answers for your specific experience by asking questions here. Not scolding or anything, but try there first, or use the search function, you will be able to answer A LOT of stuff with minimal effort. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=332148 |
Re: Dual Master cylinder with Drum Drum?
And here is another link that will help.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=610917 Link to the FAQ section. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=559678 BTW, a member on here CaptainFab, another great resource on this forum BTW, makes an adapter bracket for mounting a booster. I don't have that booster, but I did buy a couple other things from him, and they are top quality. Highly recommend buying from him and other vendors on here for any future purchases for your truck. |
