Hide the wires to the hood, need help !
1 Attachment(s)
Just looking for some ideas on how to hide the signal wires running up to the hood...any ideas ? So far thinking about the stainless sliding door loom but its a little bulky.
The new wires are running from the existing hole in the cowl at the passenger side.I have maked it with a red circle- into the hood and then hidden under the brace's.I'm just not sure what to use to hide them from the cowl to the hood itself. At one time I thought about installing a contact that completed the circuit when the hood closed but I dont know this would work. Appreciate all input here.:ito: |

I think Watsons Wire works has a good selection of contacts that will do the job.

Painless web style? The factory one not working? It does go under the brace. Or how about door plunger with brass connection where they touch when closed but not when open?

The factory wire loom plugs into the firewall on driver side and runs under factory hood brace to driver light then accross nose to passenger side.

I have looked at the Painless contact option however with the amount of vibration in these hood's,I doubt the contact points would meet properly for long and more than likely wear out quickly and create a weak point in the circuit. Its unfortunate that available contact options are really designed just for doors, which do not have the movement you would experience in a hood. After many hours searching I may have found a solution. This contact product has a more forgiving surface area.:ito: |
