I almost didn't post this one because I don't want anyone getting burned out on my truck scavenger hunts, :mm: but I picked up this 64' last week and dubbed it "The Cyclops" :lol: one of the headlights was broken out, a non running 305/350, but a very good canvas of a truck with very little rust, retaining all the original sheet metal with no bondo :) anywhere, although someone primer-ed the front half of the truck (why) :( I experimented and removed some of the primer with a light sanding and paint remover to discover that the beautiful natural patina is still there underneath the primer, (yes) unfortunately the inside is a hideous purple color with white (yuk) and the rest of the interior consisted of one(?) bucket seat....... anyway you get the picture. Enjoy! :chevy:

That truck couldn't have went to a better home. You'll have it whipped into shape in no time. I would wet sand the primer back down to the patina'd white paint and shoot it with a satin clear to seal it, and do a quickie spray on the interior and get it back to fawn. A Saddleman seat cover, a stock steering wheel, a simple lowering job with some steelies and dog dish caps, and that truck would be perfect.

How bad is the engine? Can it be saved?

Oh yeah! You saw that, forum member "Perro 13" Randy hooked me up big time :) with the seat, steering wheel and a couple of other items, I went over to his place last Saturday and I couldn't believe all the nice stuff he had and the original painted clean sheet metal he has too!!! Thank you Randy!!! :chevy:

Unfortunately, a mechanic I'm not :( but of course typical story....."it came out of a good running car 10 years ago.....:blah::blah::blah: but, I didn't buy it for the drive train, yeah if I can remove all the primer we might have something here!!!! ;)
