46 Door support??
 

The cross bar that is in the middle of the46 door has some hard foam looking filler to support the door skin, this needs to be replaced, what did you folks use to replace it with???

Clean out the old foam and try to wipe with scotchbrite between the bar and door skin. Get a 2 part epoxy foam from a body & paint store called anti flutter foam. It will mix in the tube as you squeeze the gun and it will expand & fill the gap without pushing the door skin out. The foam in the rattle cans will push the sheet metal out and you won't be happy. Put a silver dollar size spot about every few inches and that will support the skin just fine.

I went to two paint supply stores this AM and all I could find was a 3M product called
"Ridged Pillar Foam" Two part epoxy, and it was like $45, and it said the expansion was 10X is that the material you were referring to?

I went to Terrys auto supply on the net and copied this. Its what you want. Your local shop should have it. This is used for roof skins, hood braces, anywhere you need to stop the flutter. It does not get hard as a rock & that's what you need.
