Wheel & Backsets / setting up the front track on an AD truck.

Hi Folks...

We are just finishing the suspension on my 49 3600 & we are rolling it out of the shop next week to take some measurement & decide on rim size/backsets for smoothies from Wheelsmith.

Mustang II coil over is installed in front, and some mods to the rear suspension. The truck is only going down a couple inches max. We have it mocked up with junkyard loaners that were available (15 " rims and tires about 27" tall), so it will take some imagination. I am considering using 16" rims with a max tire height at 29".

The IFS is at the standard 56.5" WMS/WMS & you know there is a lot of room there. I know I want to push the front tires out some & I like the look of some dish in the wheels. It does come down to a matter of taste, but what did you folks do? ...any pics/suggestions with numbers on backset/rim/tire size??

Thanx, Bob
