Brake upgrades, oversized rotors?

I know a lot of sport cars and muscle cars have larger aftermarket rotors and calipers available, is anything like that available for our trucks?

I'm not really looking for a brake booster like a Hydraboost, nor do I think rear disk brakes is going to give me a significant benefit because the vast majority of your weight and braking is the front wheels.

I've radically increased the size of my tires to 40 inches tall, thereby increasing the torque the wheel will apply against the brake rotor. So I'm looking for larger brake rotors to compensate, but I haven't seen any big brake kits for these trucks.

I'm running a D44 front and Corp 14FF rear.

The Corvette guys used to use the 1.25" master cylinder off of the K20 trucks. Should be a direct swap to the K10 trucks.

Being 4WD, I'm assuming looking at your picture. You're pretty much stuck with what you got. The K20 trucks used slightly larger rotors and calipers too, don't know what's involved in the swap though. You would be moving up to 8 lug also.

You could upgrade the rear to discs, would probably help.

You can get this bracket and assembly at your local Chevy dealer. The 03-05 vans used it with 8 lug and 6 lug rotors.
