Found this loadcraft trailer but never seen anything like it around here. Like to try and buy it just because its so strange but haven't made contact with anyone yet, anyone got any ideas on what it was designed for?

Re: What is it.
Low sides, aluminum light weight..............looks like a grain trailer to me .

Re: What is it.
Would like to see top and rear...most low side trailers I see like that are livestock haulers, for hogs/smaller critters etc.

Other than low sides, it looks very similar to this Trailmobile.

Re: What is it.
I'll be working on this in a couple of weeks, I think I can locate owner as this is a very small town. That way maybe I can get a story and get better pics, not tall enough to stand up in and can't figure out what the pipe is that goes all the way around it. I had one one time that I got from USAF, it was a loadcraft about the same height but the top aluminum section just pinned on leaving just the flat bed. It had 2 sets of tank brackets bolted to the deck. I discovered it was used for hauling rocket fuel, they used a crane to lift off the top of the trailer so they could fill the tanks and then set the top back on covering the tanks. I never took any pics of it.

Can't make out what it says on the plaque just above Loadcraft, I like the fixture holding the glad hand fittings. It has nice hardware and would look great all polished up at a truck show.

It might be open top, guess there's only one way to find out. I didn't want to be snoopy with no one around and its 100 miles from here so its going to take a couple of weeks. I wish someone had the factory brochure, putting this on hold for 2 weeks. Since we're on old trailers have you ever seen a refer trailer with the whole unit inside the trailer, posting pics.

When I got this refer it had the cooling unit with 1 cylinder motor mounted inside with the exhaust running out the front and up the exhaust pipe. It has double doors on front with louvers on one door for intake air, I have searched the webb for along time and have not found one even remotely similar. Anyone have any info on this one.

I think he means directly above it, some bullet shaped emblem with script writing.

That's interesting, I didn't get a title to it so I don't know what year it is. It did have a big belt drive blower but also had a vintage refrigeration unit combined. I should have taken pics of the unit when I took it out. I was more concerned about making the outside look good again but now I'm not sure that was the right thing now. I'll probably go for a bond title. Have not contacted timpte to see if they have any info but I do remember the local produce company that had it but that was in the mid 60s.
