Perforated Seat Cover

Hi All, Ive been reading the boards for few months since i bought my 71 from my uncle. The truck has a bench seat and the vinyl is perforated. I havent seen replacement covers so would this be a aftermarket or a dealer installed item?

That doesn't look like an original seat to me. Can you take a picture of the SPID ? ( list of options thats on the glovebox door ) That will tell what seat it's SUPPOSED to have !!!

I can. I think the truck was red with a white interior

That vinyl used to be real common. Being as the cover runs welt to welt with the perforated material makes it a replacement cover. If it came up from the Dallas area we might have even done it.
The topper foam on the rear cushion is a dead giveawy of a replacement cover. It is used to make up for minor size differences and more so the compression or wear of the original foam over time. That is why you pad up a cover over original foam, to keep it from looking like an oversize bag of wrinkles.

Thanks SS, I wouldn't mind keeping some of that in the seat and back area on a new cover and do the rest in a solid. Is this still available?
