seat belts for crew cab to fit car seats tight
 

i bought an 85 crewcab that the previous owner had taken the back seat out and had shelves for his business. i reinstalled the like new seat but the pick up had lap belts only in the back. i have young kids in car seats and i am trying to find seat belt that will retract and lock to hold car seat tight like my 99 yukon has. My question is does some one make an updated version or adapted seat belt out of the vehicles to make this possible?

I would look at some of the 90's offerings and see if you could get something to mach up reasonably. I would look a Suburbans to see what they have as far as the "ratcheting" seatbelts. Passenger side sould be no problem as even some of the pickups had them.

I believe the '89-'91 crew cabs had shoulder harnesses in the rear seats.

they did 89 was the first year it was standard. some 88s may even have. i know dodge in 88 made some cars with shoulder belts in 88. my moms dynasty had lap only but the same car with blue interior on another lot same year had shoulder.

stock single cab ones will work in the rear, just need to put a threaded plate up in the cab corner to bolt the upper to.

id say thats what they used in 89 for the trucks anyhow.
