Replace the CD tray with cup holder?
 

I was searching the web for an answer to this but can't find anything. I want to replace the cd case insert in the center console on my 95 with a cup holder? Does such a thing exist? Thanks in advance.

Yes. There is a cup holder insert to replace the cd holder.

Here is a couple of them but apparently they are getting hard to find since the nice one is over $50 already...

I can't find a single one at our u pull. There's about 50 95 and newer there too.

I'm always keeping my eyes peeled for the cupholders. I don't know why the CD holder seems to be so much more common. I have 3 of these consoles and they all came with the CD holder. So far I've found 2 cupholders.

Ya I haven't been able to figure out why my truck has a tape player with a cd holder. Doesn't make much sense.

How about an entire center console swap, like one out of a yukon or a denali, has anyone done one?

A Yukon console is no different.

A Denali/Escalade console is full-length and runs up to the dash. The problem is IF you can find one, they often command ungodly prices.

I have seen the '97-'02 Ford Expedition console used in these trucks. It's also a full-length console, but cheaper and easier to find than the Denali/Escalade console.

Hell actually looking around, I like the consoles out of the pre 95 interior. That should bolt right up correct? I could get the top wrapped in cloth or vinyl. Built in cup holder gobs of space.

The more I look at the early 2000's silverado center consoles the more I think that is what I want.
