OBDII tuners
Has anyone used the Bully Dog GT Tuner for their swap? I realize a shop tune would be more efficient, but for the guys that are running stock with bolt on's... has anyone used the GT Tuner?
Thanks, Justin |
Re: OBDII tuners
Plug-in tuners and handheld tuners are a NO-NO around here (or at least around me dammit).
If your just gonna do a stock swap, just get a cheap canned-tune (aka mail order tune) and get it on the road. Then take it to a shop later when its convenient or once you do some modding, and get it tuned right. Plugin tuners are junk unless its your only option. We're not driving Chryslers. |
Re: OBDII tuners
I dont think the hand held tuners will allow you to turn off the vats and such....

Re: OBDII tuners
Well, I agree with you Br3w but I got a smokin deal on one so figured wth. Really only needed it to correct gear ratio.
Blackpony... Vats and such are already removed :) I got it in and tuned and gear ratio set... haven't noticed anything really, but haven't had a chance to mess around with it. |
Re: OBDII tuners
I have a diablo sport predator....got it cheap, can change tires, gears, tq. management, fuel trim, and log data...it's my only option. nearest tuner is 4hrs away...

Re: OBDII tuners
Ya, price was definitely a factor for me. Paid $150 for the Bully Dog, brand new. I just replaced the PCS in the trans hoping that will take care of a shift issue, will get that back together tonight and mess with the tuner. If nothing else, I can adjust tires, gear ratio, etc. like you said.
