engine stumbles in turn
HELP, anyone have any ideas????
I have a '79 chevy van with a 350. currently it has started to stumble/cut out when you turn to the right. I have replaced the carb (edelbrock), plugs and wires but it still does it. I am about out of ideas so any thoughts would be helpful. It happens at any speed, uphill or down, rocking steering wheel back and forth while driving and during any right hand turn. |
Re: engine stumbles in turn
I believe that is something with the float level.

Re: engine stumbles in turn
i was also going to say fuel float but if you changed the carb it ''should'' not be it.... does it look more like a lack of fuel or spark? kinda hard to tell

Re: engine stumbles in turn
Sounds like float is too HIGH...or the ignition switch is faulty....just read that you have a van. The ignition switch is in the dash right?

Re: engine stumbles in turn
van yes, ign switch in dash yes. tried connecting gas can directly to fuel pump, van ran with no problems. reconnected fuel tank started acting up again.
