Fastest all motor sbcs?
 
Hey guys just wondering what some people are running with factory block and trans... My 86 went 8.9 1/8th at 77mph last year built sbc and th350 (that got tore down and rebuilt this winter due to slipping clutches were black due to broken sprag) 12 bolt with 3.73s and locker... Anybody have times I want to be the fastest

Tell us more about your engine. Must not be a 305 that's for sure. I have seen a old Chevy big block 4x4 go 7.5 in the 1/8. That's flyin' because that's how fast my bike goes.

400 9.5:1 hyd. roller edelbrock air gap.
Dart 200cc iron eagle heads
Mild pump gas SBC

The biggest gains are in the suspension.
Started at 13.50's and gained all that with gears converter tires and cal-tracs.
The engine has stayed the same

Is going from stock motors to modified motors??

I'll dig up my old 305 time numbers. It was a pig but fun to drive down the 1/4 mile!! I have not tried the strip since installing the ZZ4. Way too much traction to post good times. Posi and slicks are needed. It's quick though.

Oops, sorry KQQl IT I thought you were the OP. That sounds like a sound engine, nothing too radical. That's definitely some quick times.

I see you live in NE AR. Do you in West Memphis? Do you run at MIR? In Millington TN.

Nah I'm near jonesboro bout 2 hrs from Memphis I have been to MIR just never in my 86... Normally go to George rays it's like 30 min away
