Just a quick drop question
How much of a drop can I do on the front before I have to switch to drop spindles?
I believe I read on here some where that you can cut the front springs 1 coil and get about 2" drop or so. I don't know. |
Re: Just a quick drop question
3 inch spring are the lowest before spindles

Re: Just a quick drop question
5 Attachment(s)
just did one and a half coils on my 69's front to get it where I wanted.

Re: Just a quick drop question
looks good might ride a bit rough.

Re: Just a quick drop question
It did stiffen it up. That 1st lower coil being relatively flat must really let the first couple inches of travel be progressively soft.

Re: Just a quick drop question
I did 3" front coils no alignment problems and room to spare , the front end of these trucks are very adjustable ,,

Re: Just a quick drop question
Awesome. So 3 inch drop springs will have to do for now.
What about the rear? I believe you can go 5 inches before a c-notch? What about shock re-locators? Do I need them for a 3 inch drop in the front? |
Re: Just a quick drop question
No notch with 5 inch unless towing or hauling. Shorter shocks are recommended in the front I still have stock shocks at the moment and rides smooth

Re: Just a quick drop question
Yes 3/5 would make it level. I would recommend relocators in the rear with 5 inch springs the shocks are at a pretty steep angle without them.

Ok why shorter shocks, seems like it does not give you much travel. Then again I have cpp shocks that are longer than the short shocks, and I dont have any travel my front drop is 5 1/2 |

Re: Just a quick drop question
Do I need shocks in the rear if I run coil overs?
