Bench seat help
Did some searching with no luck. Looking at buying a very nice bench for my 69. Guy's being vague at what year it came out of. Says 67-80 all the same. The seat back does fold so I'm guessing 73 and newer?
Do these really just bolt in? Doubt it. Will it bolt up to my slider/mounts? Thanks in advance. |
Re: Bench seat help

Re: Bench seat help
Local CL ad. Says seat is like new. comes with 3 sets of belts as well. all for $300. My bench is actually in overall good shape just very dirty cloth that originally must have been white? light gray? local upolstery quotes start at 250. New covers on line are 389.

Re: Bench seat help
Here's the problem I found with used seats......
There's a little metal stamping that holds a spring in mplace in the adjustment handle. If that metal stamping is m swing the spring does not stay in place and thus the seat slides all over the place. Make sure it's in GOOD working order first. I know of a guy here in SoCal that parts out these trucks. I know he has seats....many of them. Not sure how much but will get you info if you want. Michael. cigarbox@earthlink.net |
Re: Bench seat help
made the 60 mile round trip. 73-87 bench. nice but not worth all the effort to use. even the mounting locations of the seat brackets are so far off, it'd be alot of work. Probably just get mine recovered locally.

Re: Bench seat help
The covers can be bought for around $300 and my dad and I spent 2 hours putting it on. I bought it from Truckseats here on the site. Great quality and fit.
