These are stamped on the passenger side axle tube of my 14blt rear axle.....do they mean anything?

looks to me like "R F K G1572"

Yes - typically they are codes for the ratio, locking vs open, and the manufacturing date code.

Unfortunately I do not have a secret decoder ring so I can't interpret it. I suspect someone on this site does.

That's so funny I literally just took this picture to ask you guys what it means.

My trucks a 1975 C20, Camper Special. Not sure about the rear end I was hoping this # could give me some information?

a couple ideas. one a person that cant align anything...:lol: also where it was made, bolt pattern and then possibly productionnumber.... not necessarily all there but probably just location and number...

FYI, the codes are in the Factory GM Truck parts catalogs.
