That speedometer is from a late 70s truck isnt it? All 80s trucks had the 85 mph speedo

Stock speedometer should be 85 mph, fuel gauge looks to have been changed too.

The wear on the brake pedal looks like its been pushed a whole lot for a 4500 mile truck.

And the font is wrong on the speedo too

There are so many bogus mileage claims going around these days it isn’t even funny. This “original 4500 mile” CUCV obviously has the wrong year of speedo not to mention two poorly drilled holes in the speedo face for idiot lights

There are no low mile CUCVs that run and drive. There may have been some wrecked unusable shells that were low mile, but they've likely been stripped naked and crushed. If they ran and drove the government ran and drove them until they didn't, then fixed them up and ran and drove them some more, then if there was anything left they were auctioned off or offloaded to local municipalities like fire departments, highway departments, public safety, etc where they were run and driven until they didn't and were used as parts for the ones that did. That's probably what happened to this one, just like many others, government used it up, donated it, it was damaged and sat unused for a few years and parts slowly vanished off it until somebody screwed together as best they could and stuck it in its 3rd or 4th surplus auction. That said, I still want one, they're neat!

Two things to remember about Craig's List.... All 350s are from Corvettes, and all CUCVs are one owner low mile rust free survivors.
