Anyone know how these deelywhackers come off of the fender. I quickly looked but don't know how the clips come off.

The metal things the rubber is stapled to.

you gotta get a flathead in between the little clip not the clip and metal piece the clip looks like two small pieces of square chunks and spread it and in turn it makes the clip smaller on the backside then pull it out its about 5 or so

I think these photos show the subject in question. Small metal clips go thru the holes of the metal strip and hold it onto the fender brace. You can see the matching holes in these photos.

The last photo shows one of the clips (badly rusted) on the right before removal.

Ok, got them off, thanks Pimpston, now how do the braces come off, looks like they are under the fender folds and maybe spot welded.

Yep they are. If you are replacing the lower part of the fender cut off the fender from the inter bracing.

if the bottom of your braces are rusted i would only replace what is rusted. the spot welds up toward the top are a pita. cut the brace the length you need and weld back in. if somebody has an easy way to remove the whole brace, please chime in. if just the finder do what cru-zn said.
