getting ready to order tires for my showwheels they are 20x10 in the rear and 20x8 up front looking for a tire that will fill the front up just looking for some tire sizes any recommendations I think I am going to run a 275/40 in the rear which is 28.7 inches tall did not know what the tallest I could put up front without any problems

That is not all you have to consider. if you dont want your front tires rubbing when you turn Your tread width, 50-60-70-75 and rim width are factors as well.

I was looking at a 245/40

Are you stock or lowered? I run 245/40/20 on the front of my bagged truck without any issues.

I'm going to drop it 3.5 in the front with drop spindles and lowering springs. What are you running in the rear? Do you have any pictures with your set up

Might want a little taller tire to help fill the well. Or go lower;)...

Measure the height of the truck prior to the drop.. maybe from the ground to the top edge of the fender lip. Then subtract about how low you want it to be.. 'Its here, but I'd like for it to be here'

That of course will be your drop but also remember your stock springs have likely sagged a little over the years. For example a 1" drop spring up front would likely not even drop your truck at all vs. the sagging stock springs.

What I'd suggest is measure, fender-to-ground compared to where you want it and add 1inch when you order your drop.

For your tires - width divided by 25.4 will give you inches. Say 255/40/20. 255/25.4 = the width of the tire overall. Now take this number and multiply by the aspect ratio. 255/25.4 * .40. This will give you the height of the sidewall. So, .. sidewall x2 plus the diameter of the wheel is the overall height of the tire.

275/40/20 = 10.826 " wide. 4.33" sidewall. X2+20 = 28.66

255/40 up front (?). 10.03 " wide 4.01" sidewall. 28.02" overall.

Your backspacing also makes a big impact on the overall fit and look of the wheels. What is the backspacing on the Show wheels?

Here is mine. 3" drop front, 5" drop rear, 20x8.5, 245/45/20 all around. No issues at all.
