Mystery switch 64 c20

I have a knob to the right of ignition that I can't account for. On left side of steering wheel I have headlights, wipers, choke. Right side I have ignition, mystery knob, then a knob for the heater ( thrift) up in the heater switch location. Any help would be appreciated.

Grandpa, the switch actually pulls to 2 positions like a headlight type switch would.

I think someone added it for something. I can't find any info other than all pics I see show one there. Probably a cig lighter under normal circumstances. I first thought it was thrift heat but identified that up and right of mystery switch.

It could be a manual throttle. Works like a pull out choke knob?

Badaz, it pulls to two positions like a headlight switch might. I guess it's not stock. Maybe they had some Extra lighting at some point.

Might have had fog lights some time ago..the bumper on my truck has holes for fog lights. Have you check where the wires from the switch runs to?

Have you verified the ignition switch works? Someone might have rigged up the starter that way.

I traced the wires to the horn area where they we cut off maybe had another set of lights on the beast. Maybe we will use it as auxiliary lighting.

Just curious. Were the wires part of the OEM wiring harness or did it look like they were added afterward?

I just followed the wires through firewall to the horn area where they were cut off. Must have had fog lights at one time.
