Dropped my transmission

Finally dropped my transmission for the rebuild. Man that thing was heavier than I thought it was going to be. I had two other guys helping me but it was not on a lift and all we had was a cheap jack haha. We put a 2x4 on the jack and shimmied it down after a couple tries and realizing stuff was still attached. We didn't break anything and it is out. what a fun day. :metal::chevy:

I've dropped mine twice with nothing but myself and a cheap floor jack. Was NOT a fun experience...and best of all I get to do it a third time soon.

I couldn't imagine doing it myself it was sketchy enough with three people. haha

20 years ago it was nothing to yank a transmission by myself or pull a motor with a come a long and a log chain wrapped around a tree in the backyard. No more, not for this guy...
