Power drum brakes
I have a '68 C10 with manual drum brakes all the way around and I was wondering if anyone knew the significance of the diameter of the booster, and how and where it mounts to the fire wall? Or of any good quality names to look out for? Any advice will be greatly appreciated :smoke:

Re: Power drum brakes
I have the same truck. It had manual drums. I just used a booster and mounting bracket from another truck. The bracket bolts on were the original master cylinder bolted on and two more studs that were there from the brake pedal bracket. Then there was a push rod that went from the brake pedal to the booster mount linkage then another push rod that pushes onto the master cylinder. I used the original master cylinder. There was enough length in the original brake lines to flex it forward. Just had to crack the lines loose abit and reposition the lines to mount the master cylinder. I also ended up buying a new oem style booster just because I didn't want any problems. I think it's about 12 inch diameter. Cheap and easy fix that works good for now until I upgrade to discs all around.
