82 silverado died..

This 82 silv c10 with a 350 v8 chose to take a **** on me and now it's sitting like a loser on the side of the highway. The truck had this loose engine sound like a rattle almost and gave jerking motions up and down with serious speed fluctuations almost stalling each time but I chose to drive the truck harder with speed. Finally the truck died and came to a stand still after trying to stay it the ignition got weak until dead and the lights preety much dim and dieing.I tryed to jump the truck without success!.This truck has been rode preety hard for the past 2 days I had a road trip for 6 hours and that rattle sound started that day.and then today I was revving it and rode it on that road until it died! Its

That sucks man. But now you get a new motor!! Right after I bought my first truck it started knocking. It was a 305 so I just kept driving it. Finally one day it let go on the highway, shook the truck so bad I damn near wrecked it.

It sucked but I was so excited when my mom told me she would get me a loan for a crate engine and let me pay it off. Now that 350 is long gone, someone is still rockin it somewhere if they took care of it.

On to bigger and better things. Start scopin Craig's list for a fresh one for her!

Good luck

Take the distributor cap off. Crank it. I'll put money on a broken timing gear.
