Dropping Blazer tank
Have any of you guys dropped the gas tank on your Blazer? Any advice? How hard a job is this? I need to replace the sending unit and want to try it over the weekend, I've struggled to find anything Blazer specific using the search box and I don't know if it is similar to other trucks.

Re: Dropping Blazer tank
I just took mine out,all there is are 2 nuts by the rear bumper one for each strap but need 2 wrenchs so you don,t turn the strap.I had to really lube it up good as they were pretty rusty. Then take off the rubber hose to the filler and it should fall in your lap,I used some egg crates for support.I know some people just cut a sq. hole in the floor to get to the sending unit and make it into a trap door

Re: Dropping Blazer tank
Dropping it isn't too bad... Stabbing it back in is a little tougher... dealing with the hoses was the worst part for me.... The supply and vent lines have spring clamps on them and not really enough slack in the hose to get to them. I cut the small hoses and replaced them on install and used worm gear clamps. The filler/vent hoses didn't want to play along either. Wd-40 them to make reinstallation easier.
