1969 3 speed to a TH400
 

I know some one has already done this that could help me with some advice. i pulled the old 307 an 3 speed manual out an im putting in a 454 with a th400. My question is do I need to remove the old bell housing cross member. Im waiting on engine part to come in so im trying to prep as much as possible before the install.

yes you no longer need the bell housing crossmember...but you need the transmission crossmember that attaches to the tranny mount on the tailshaft
