Re: Moser Differential Cover / Porterbuilt Stage 2
I have not fit one up before. Do you know how much thicker it is compared to the factory cover?

It's tough to do this with only 2 hands but it is basically 1" difference....

Honestly I don't think it's going to clear with the straight bar. :(

Re: Moser Differential Cover / Porterbuilt Stage 2
Which kit are you running/planning on running?

Re: Moser Differential Cover / Porterbuilt Stage 2
I was gonna buy the cover from Number98. I have the basic stage 2 rear suspension with air bags w/schrader valves. I'm thinking I would like adequate clearance through out the suspension travel.

Re: Moser Differential Cover / Porterbuilt Stage 2
We could custom bend a bar for you. However you would need to mock the kit up with the straight bar and then get some measurements for us. Should be pretty easy. We have done it before.

Re: Moser Differential Cover / Porterbuilt Stage 2
Thanks guys for helping. I'm not stuck on using this cover so I'll have to find one that will work with the straight panhard par. Nate

The Extra-Low profile design, measures 3-3/8" from gasket surface. Nate do you think this cover will clear? |

Do me a favor and if you want the bigger cover, buy it. I will work with you in bending a bar that will fit. That way we can offer the bar to all our customers as an option. You deal with a little bit of leg work, measuring, and waiting for a new bar to ship.... and I don't have to worry about mocking it up here in the shop. Little R&D tag team. You get a bar that fits at no extra expense to you. And I get you to work for "free" for a few hours! ;) Nate |

I don't know about the stage 2 but mine fits perfect on my extreme dropmember with the outboard bag mounts. This pic is aired out but I can get a fully aired up pick later tonight if anybody needs it. Sounds like you guys devised a plan of attack to make it fit and once again great customer service from Porterbuilt helping out their clients.

Re: Moser Differential Cover / Porterbuilt Stage 2
The inboard setup is where it gets tricky...I will post pic tonight of how tight it is .....has to be completely aired up on it's "toes" to touch cover...I don't think it's a problem for me but it will barely rub...jim

This is why there is so much less clearance on the Stage 2 kits vs the Dropmember kits. |

here's the pics.....dropmember...inboard bags....shots were taken with
chassis at nearly full height....which it will really never be..let me know Nate what u think.....if mounting tabs were another hole lower may help this without bending bar........jim |
