Engine surprise
Now that I've finally got a little time to work on the truck I dug into the engine a little more and the 350 the last owner was proud of is a 400 small block instead. I've got to be honest I didn't know much about these until looking it up over the last few days.
Looks like its the preferable 2 bolt main for what its worth, its 1975 out of the Janesville plant so I think they built more cars than trucks at the time? learn something new every day..... |

Re: Engine surprise
Agreed, and 40+ years gives a lot of time for guys to mess with them before you ever got your hands on them. It's almost like an archaeology expedition when you get one, to go through the layers of work guys have done over the years and try to figure out "what were they thinking?" LOL
