Putter and stall when parked up hill
 

My house and driveway are on a hill. My '73 K20 runs just fine when it is pointing downhill but if I back in to my driveway it wants to stall. Then if I park it andf try to restart it another day it doesnt want to start. I assume it has to do with a fuel issue getting int he carburetor. Is there a simple fix for this?

Probably a stupid question but where would they be located and how do I check them?

It's a pretty simple process to check and set the float levels. The video above may be a little confusing since it's not on a carb that is a typical carb on these trucks but the principles are the same... It's just that it won't look anything like that carb. Do you have a Holley, Edelbrock, or Quadrajet carb?

It could just be the short rubber hose going to the fuel pump. I had a pin hole in mine that made it hard to start. I usually park it pointing uphill. I just changed the fuel pump yesterday with it pointing downhill and the gas was running easily; easy for the fuel pump to pick up. Pointing uphill the fuel pump needs to suck the fuel and a pinhole will make that harder to do.
