Anyone tried this AC mount w/ headers?
So I am stuck.
I ended up putting Flowtech headers on my engine and now can't get the AC mount back on. I have tried to modify the factory piece but the bolt head won't fit in the space between the mount and the header tube. Jegs make this one: http://www.jegs.com/i/Flowtech/387/1...FTMA7AodnGEAYg And I am wondering if anyone has used it and what the impression is of this piece. FWIW....here is the point that I am at: http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps80801694.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psb40faacd.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps5260c628.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps3a25c261.jpg TIA |

On my 87 we just modified the A/C bracket as I recall.

I'll see about going that route in the morning. I figured it needed the both sides to be stable.
Thanks for the pictures. |

I didn't use that one. But. I did do this. ...I swapped sides with my alt and a/c compressor.
Alan Grove made me the bracket's. Call em they'll fix you up no matter what side you chose...Those guy's know their stuff. |
Re: Any tried this AC mount w/ headers?
I have used steel tubing I cut down to make really thick washers to hold the bracket out far enough.
