Real truck books

Good evning fellow truck people.
I have a 97 3500 CC/Dually yes it has a 454 (7.4) with a 4L80E trans that I just had rebuilt at 150 somthing and now its hittin 155. What Im looking for is a good repair manual? No Chiltons/Haynes wont work. It's like me going to Autozone/Oriellys and arguing with them when I'm trying to get rotors (No that will not fit young man) even though I set it down and it stands 10" taller then the rotor and of course everybody can turn them UNTIL you show up. Oops sorry I was getting off the subject (my soapbox) anyways I want good info like from an old Mitchells manual? Any suggestions?
Thanks for all the help guys I could not of kept it going this long without your experts help.

You can sometimes find factory manuals for sale on eBay. Or you can find a CD version on eBay as well. The CDs run around $40 and actual factory about $110. The CDs are scans of the factory manuals so they are just as good...

DuallyDave nailed it, the factory service manuals are your best bet. I am idly keeping my eyes open for the set for my '96.

check with your local library. I am able to access and download information from Alldata.com at mine.
I also bought a Helm's manual for my '96. both really good sources.

Lets see- Chiltons for our trucks, about 150pages. OEM manual for our trucks, 4 books totaling around 3000 pages. Yeah, I'd go with oem if I were you.
