funky fuel tank issues, guidance please
Let me give the back story.
I am using a spectra efi tank for a '69 camaro with a bosch branded 255 copy. ( I would do this differently if i did it again) stock return style fuel system, to the rail and back again. Initially I used an atmosphere-vented stock cap (for a '69 camaro) and all was good with the world. Then I switched to a locking cap for a '69 camaro and now I'm getting excess tank pressure. Help me figure out a cool way to vent this puppy without it stinking like gas all the time. I have considered cobbling the evap purge stuff together somehow. or maybe just a cheap ebay rollover vent valve like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/AN6-6AN-AN-6...27a837&vxp=mtr Help me Obi Wan |

carbon canister (or whatever the hell it's called) mounted in the back, so it's not seen? Vent it through that maybe. Not sure, but from what I've read the evap stuff is tricky

That little valve would be enough for function. You can hook an evap to that if you want, something like an s10 cannistor could be mounted under the bed. AFAIK it doesn't need the solenoid to work, it would just be a smell-filter for the vapors (instead of being run on vacuum to pull vapor out)
I like the gas smell lol. Never been pulled over and told "Sir, I detect the presence of premium grade fuels...step out of the vehicle" |

I dont mind the gas smell, but I rent shop space from some folks who do :)
