heal on brake toe on gas peddle other foot on clutch start letting up on the clutch while toe starts pushing on gas / that or if you have faith in you trans holding together push clutch in rev to 3000 rpm in 1st gear the drop foot off clutch and hang on

ps im not suggesting you do it but thats how its done as for the clutch one i did it in my camaro and blew my trans apart in 3rd gear now its on kijji lol with no motor or trans

you can also just break tire then brake to do a brake stand burn out. your rear end may not like it

You gonna do it in creeper gear or in 1st gear?

I think if you try it in creeper the truck is going to lurch forward and you won't have enough engine RPM to keep the tires broke free.

I'd try first gear, and put a little water down to get the rear wheels spinning.

You might leave a transmission on the pavement to go with those black lines.

Good man! I hate my school too. But I'm in Western WA, so they hate trucks in general. If I don't ride a bike or drive a Prius, I'm a terrible person.

Haha!

Use Clorex bleach instead of water, it will make more smoke and leave longer lasting marks. Just a splash will do and it works better on asphalt than concrete.:burnout:

I was not the smartest teenager buuuut.... I used to side step the clutch at 3k rpm and quickly but carefully use the foot that was on the clutch to power brake. Certainly not sound advice but it was a lot of fun. :)

I was gonna do it in 1st, not granny gear.
I know I can get the tires spinning a tad if I slam on the gas while rolling in 1st, but nothing too impressive

Yank the wheel... (more bad advice) :exit:

Easy.

Dead stop. 1st gear. Rev it up with the clutch in, then floor it and drop the clutch.

Add water or bleach to the road for a more prolonged burnout.

Let me dust off the old crystal ball and look into it.....

I'm seeing images from the future....

New threads will be posted.....

I just can't tell the exact details yet....

Will it be "Hey guys, help me choose a new clutch for my truck" ?

Or will it be "Does anyone know where I can find a new driveshaft for my truck" ?

Or lastly, perhaps "Need help changing my differential side gears".

Do you happen to have any stocks/bonds/mutual fund advice in there?

;)

How about, "will these u-joints fit?", "Where to get good, cheap tires?"
"How come the police are harassing me..."

Over the years, I decided that traction is nice.

Re: How to do burnout with sm465 transmission?

you put your right foot down, you put your left foot out,
move your left foot right, and you slide it all about.

Re: How to do burnout with sm465 transmission?

the way i use to do it back when i was a dumb but rich little prick.
rev it up drop the clutch go really light on the brake so you keep just moving forward. and hope your motor has enough nut to keep them going.
keep in mind that is a 290 crate sm465 3.42 gears with 31" bfg at.

i read alot of threads here about people droping trans spider gears ujuints drive shafts and i use my truck alot harder then it was ever built for. i shock load the **** out of it and have never broke anything. over loaded it pull stuck trucks the works and i mean things that you should have 550 650 size trucks for. guess i am just lucky

Re: How to do burnout with sm465 transmission?

i lost a few rear u-joints, then the yolk on the front but i think that was stressed but one of the rear u-joints breaking. but havent lost the spiders

Re: How to do burnout with sm465 transmission?

I've always been a fan of the second gear burnout. You really have to spool it up and sidestep the clutch, but it gives a enough wheel speed for a sustained smoke show, doughnut and arraignment. I don't do many these days because I have grown to dislike replacing u-joints, pinion yokes and driveshafts.
