which sem products to finish interior?

i just got my 83 chevy pickup painted spruce mica green, and im planning on ordering sem products to finish the interior out. Im leaning towards palomino and black, or camel and black. But im realizing there are multiple materials inside the cab. Plastic panels, steel headliner parts, and i just purchased a NOS dash pad thats still grey, and Im unsure of its material. if someone can tell me what products i need for each material that would be great. i know i need sem soap, but thats as much as i know. thanks

SEM has several products for re-coloring interior parts but I've only used their Color Coat. You can download the tech data sheet with the usage instructions from their website at -->
http://www.semproducts.com/color-coat-aerosols/

I believe the door panels, kick panels, and other similar "semi rigid" plastic interior panels are made from polypropylene (PP) plastic. SEM recommends their #39863 plastic adhesion promoter or #77723 for those types of plastic.

The instrument panel bezel and other "rigid" plastic parts are usually ABS. SEM recommends their #38363 sand free for ABS & PVC plastics.

The dash pad, arm rests, and other "soft" parts are usually covered with viny. They recommend using SEM #38343 vinyl prep.

They don't give any instructions for using Color Coat on metal parts. But I have used it with good results by epoxy priming the parts and spraying them with the Color Coat just like regular paint ... it's a flexible coating (not a dye).

I've often thought about how a tan and black interior would look keep us up to date with picks!

I just used the color coat on my door panels, arm rests, headliner trim ( including the metal pieces), visors and seat bracket covers. I cleaned everything with soap and water, used their no voc prep, used the XXX adhesion promoter on all parts and several coats of the color.

Turned out great.

This is what I'm using for inspiration, plus these colors will look really nice with my green paint I think. What do you guys think?? Paint color is spruce mica, it's a Toyota color!

Go to SEM's website. They have information and training videos to do just what you're talking about.

I cleaned with soap & water, then cleaned with TSP, then used SEM adhesion promoter, then color coat.

I am a fan of SEM!

I'd like to see your square in the Spruce Mica

I'm a tech at toyota and love that color, I thinking it would be a nice color on my 77 that is green already.
