Picked up a new (new to me) shop truck.

Went out this morning to look at a few 67 - 72's for myself to kick around in. I could not make a deal on any of them so I decided to think a little different. Decided I deserved a truck with all the options since I have been working so hard the last few years chasing around. Anyways,, this is what I came up with. You should have seen the owner trying to explain the "programmer" to me. Very pleasant young man, he tried. Programmers do make them get on down the road, I did figure that out. It needs a bath very badly, maybe Sunday.

That'll make a good runaround rig. I like the wheel and tire size and drop.

It is for sure different than what i usually end up with. i never thought I would have anything with those short sidewall tires like this one does.

Tell us more about it.
Year?

Drop specs?

Not a whole lot to tell. it is a 96, it has 200,000 miles. It has been professionally lowered and has 18 inch American wheels. it has had the center mount stoplight shaved, front windows tinted and a few other odds and ends. Motor was supposedly replaced at around 180.000 but the previous owner had no documentation to verify that.

Very nice Tahoe. The stance is perfect! Enjoy the heck out of it.

Thanks. I am thinking about dropping it off at the detail shop to see just how good it can look.

Looking foreward to just cruising it this summer. I am still not sold on the wheel/tire combo, thanks, Fred.

Dam, that truck is almost perfect stance/rim size/tire size wise. If you change it [besides lower]your insane.

Hey Tom. I doubt if we change anything, it sure will not go any lower. Thanks, Fred.

Just got the parking lamps installed. I either need a new stock hood (hail damage) or maybe a cowl hood, just not sure which way to go. Still enjoying driving it. Rides, handles and runs great.
