seat issues, advice needed
the seats in my 1991 Suburban are from a 1996? tahoe might be a little earlier I cannot remember.
I purchased the seats new foam from gm and catskinz kit to make them look pretty. I love the results but it wasn't cheap. Now the backs on the buckets are twisting, I know its because of the posture while driving but that being said I need a solution. Has anyone encountered this and if so what have they done to correct/strengthen it. Thanks for your time. Keith |
Re: seat issues, advice needed
It could have a broken weld or broken frame. No way to tell the fix without pulling the covers and see what's going on inside. Since the early 80's it seems they have tried to see how light they can make the seat frames not how strong. Add all the extra adjustments allowed and people just don't seat straight in the car anymore.

If you find out where it's broken repair and add a gusset to the repair. Then you will eventually find the next weakest part.
