Pulling an sm465

Can someone give me a detailed step by step on how to pull an sm465/205 out of a k10? Thanks!

Probably missing a few things, but here goes: First thing is get hold of a good transmission/transfer case jack.I bought a cheaper one probably close to twenty years ago & it still works good, had a threaded rod instead of a hydraulic cylinder.Drain your T case, disconnect driveshaft, speedo, shift linkage on t case.Support the transmission/transfer case(some might not agree, but this always works for me) by using a square piece of metal or plywood approx 6" square under the oilpan & a bottle jack under it.Using the tranny jack, place under the t case & unbolt it from adapter.Make sure it's supported well. When I was a lot younger I bench pressed the 205 out,but I got wiser as I grew older! Once t case is out.Remove the crossmember, place jack under tranny, remove the trim around gear shift lever & remove the stick.Push down on the retainer & turn 90 degrees. Usually I unbolt the 4 1/2" bolts on tranny to bell housing & pull it that way, after it's out, then drop your engine down some & undo the bell housing to engine bolts if you need to take that much apart. If your going to leave it any length of time, support the engine better & don't rely only on the bottle jack. Oh,forgot too,you have to drop the front driveshaft from t case as well.

Wish I would of seen this ahead of time lol, guess I need to follow these steps instead of trying to remove the T-case & transmission as 1 big part.

I've always done it that way, easier to try and support on a floor or tranny jack too. I wonder how the op made out? Never heard a reply back????
