Good Quality Clear Headlights?
A year or so ago I bought a pair of crystal clear headlights off Ebay.
Cheap junky garbage - never could get them adjusted properly. Low beams ok but high beams shining in the trees etc. Bought some extra bright $60 bulbs just to make them work almost as good as stock. They had halos in them and half of one of them never worked from the start... cheap junk and now one of them has broke one of the clips so its just hanging there. Tired of them, they got to go! They look good - I like the look, but they are cheap junk! Anyway, here's my question: Where can I buy some GOOD QUALITY crystal clear head lights?... is there such a thing? |

I like Hella flat lens H4 / 7" round headlamp replacements. Have them in a couple of cars right now with good resuts. Not an original look tho, more of an European look.

"Year/model?"
I'm sorry, its a 1998 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton Are the LMC Headlights better quality; anyone on here running those? |

Try to find TYC's. They are getting hard to find & aren't the cheapest but worth the money.

Re: Good Quality Clear Headlights?
Never heard of TYC..... I`ll check 'em out.
Up date...... I logged on to the TYC website.... OK... how in the heck do you search??? They have PDF files non-specific. Didn't find any search for a model / year. Just a bunch of abbreviated terms with no category to find your vehicle. |
Re: Good Quality Clear Headlights?
I'm running TYC as well. I've had them on there for 8 years now, no issues. Stylin Trucks is where I got them, but they don't have them anymore. They do have these: http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts/di...0117_3151.aspx
You may want to try them and return them if you don't like them. |
Re: Good Quality Clear Headlights?
I should add that the IPCW lights look exactly like the TYC lights.

Re: Good Quality Clear Headlights?
TYC Elegante, hands down. But like others have said, good luck finding them. I'm not sure if they've been discontinued or what, but they're getting harder and harder to find these days.
Be sure to look for the Elegante line by TYC. TYC also makes OEM replacement lenses, so its best to clarify your searching. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...IMG_8483-d.jpg If you don't have any luck with the TYC lights, try looking for Anzo. They seem to be pretty good as well. |

Are any of these made out of glass or are they all plastic?

Re: Good Quality Clear Headlights?
Another vote for TYC Elegantes. It's worth the trouble to find them...mine are a few years old, on a daily driver that gets parked outside, and they look almost as good as the day I put them on.

Re: Good Quality Clear Headlights?
I found headlights from them, on their website, for my '88 GMC C2500 Sierra SLE. The page is confusing...
Unfortunately, they don't have a clue about 4 head lamps on that year. They say they have "what I need", but a 7" wide light isn't for my model. The guy had to Google what my truck grill looked like. Us 1988 guys do this a lot...... :smoke: |

Any of the 90+ composite beam lights will bolt directly onto your 88, it just takes a bit of trimming of the grille IIRC, or just put a newer grille on. |
