SunSoaked is back & the NV4500 Swap resumes
3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,
14 months later, I find myself in a new job and itching to get back at my 69K10/CUCV project. I was able to marry up the NV4500 and NP205 during the down-time. Modified the shift rails for a twin-stick setup. Here's how she looks today; ready to drop in. I see several NV4500 conversion threads on here while I was away... Hope this helps somebody- BTW-I'm in need of a 32 spline fixed yoke for the rear output. Anyone? It's good to be back :metal: |

Re: SunSoaked is back & the NV4500 Swap resumes
Is the adapter part of the NV4500. what year T-case are you using. I would like to do the same thing in my 71. I have the SM465 and 205.

Re: SunSoaked is back & the NV4500 Swap resumes
The adapter is from AA and the 205 is a late "round 6 bolt" pattern built from new "old stock" parts, including the case.

Re: SunSoaked is back & the NV4500 Swap resumes
are your shift rail detent pin plugs and the shift for roll pin access plugs threaded? was that a modification? i have never seen that before.

Re: SunSoaked is back & the NV4500 Swap resumes
Yes, they are. I started with a new case, so why not? Easy enough to tap the holes and insert a 1/8" pipe plug. Won't have to deal with knocking out those itty bitty brass plugs and fishing them out of the case if I ever need to get into it.

Re: SunSoaked is back & the NV4500 Swap resumes
I think its a sweet plan. FYI, at some point in the 80s, the brass core plugs were replaced by little rubber plugs that are much easier to deal with.
