Re: AN fittings all equal ?
Just be careful and don't plau mix and match. I've had a lot of issues (leaks) when I mix Russell and other brands. By it's self Russell is top drawer stuff, but it just seems if I have a fitting that is a problem child, it's because I mixed brands of fitings / hose.
As a FYI Aeroquip makes Speedways and Slummits house brand. I've heard Earls makes the Jeggs house brand but have not had any to make a comparison. |
Re: AN fittings all equal ?
Fragola makes great AN fittings. Pricing is cheaper than Aeroquip and more than house brands. I believe they are made in the USA.:gmc2:

Re: AN fittings all equal ?
I've always used aeroquip I really like the way their braided hose fittings work some of the other brands are much harder to put together imo.

Re: AN fittings all equal ?
The jegs stuff seems to work very well. I used a bunch on my truck . Inspect each one for any minor issues on the seating area as some little marks etc will leak and that is a bad deal when you have to take stuff back apart.

Re: AN fittings all equal ?
I usec summit house brand teflon braid line and fittings no leaks at all first time doing braided line

Re: AN fittings all equal ?
Do I really need teflon for fuel ?

Re: AN fittings all equal ?
I've found some of the cheaper brands are a bit harder to assemble - Summit's house brands are not all that easy, and the no-name stuff you sometimes find on eBay is the worst.

Re: AN fittings all equal ?
I've got Early, Summit, Jegs, Fragola and a few Aeroquip fittings, and they all play pretty nice together. I even have a few copper JIC fittings that do alright with them (just can't be tightened down to the same level.
Thats how the Aeroquip and large companies get you; Aeroquip makes lots of the suuuper high end unusual fittings, the kind you don't need....right up until you do. Last thing you want is to find out 1 fitting is going to change the whole system. This is why when you open the $10k box-o-fittings on a race trailer, it tends to be FULLY stocked by 1 company, usually a Russel, Earls, or Aeroquip. |
