Anyone know what holds the E-Brake clevis together?
There's a pin or bolt that goes through the eBrake pedal tab around which the brake cable connects in double-sheer. Oh wait, that's grandma's underpants. I meant double-shear.
Put an other way, the eBrake cable ends in a U with two holes, one on each side of the brake pedal hole. But what goes through the hole? Is it a regular bolt or some kind of special pin? I do not appear to have saved (or can't find) whatever it was... |

Its a pin with a hole cross drilled at the end for a spring clip

I had to post a wtb for mine when reassembling my 72 as the body shop lost it. (Long story) |

yep - has a thin round head on one end, no threads, and the above mentioned hole for a spring clip/cotter pin.

It's called a clevis pin. Mine measures 3/4" (total length) X 5/16" and has always had a cotter pin through the hole. Here's a link from Fastenal's website showing a 1" X 5/16" pin. You should be able to modify a longer one to stock length.
http://www.fastenal.com/web/products...endingMachine= OR... McMaster-Carr appears to have them in the correct length. |
