Orifice Tube on a 1982 Chevy C10

I pulled this out of the evaporator tube on a 82 Chevy C10. Would this be my orifice tube? If not where would I locate orifice tube on this truck?

I personally have never seen one like that. my orifice tube is in the smaller of the two tubes on the evap. core. I do know that they are a pain in the rear to get out sometimes,so some one could have made up that contraption

10-4 that is where we found this one on the smaller (lower) evap. tube. I thinking we are going to flush everything, and start from scratch. replace with new oil, accumulator, leak check, vacuum down, and recharge. What do ya think. Thanks for your reply
