GM A-Body Buckets in a '68 C10
Does anyone use 67 GM A-body Chevelle seats in their truck? I have a line on a pair with side release and picked up a console on here a bit ago.
I understand that I will have to figure mounts. These come with tracks. Figure they might be something different than the elusive Buddy Buckets. Anyone use these and have pics? Thx, dave |

You will get to sit a little lower than if in buddies, to me that is a plus. Jim

Re: GM A-Body Buckets in a '68 C10
The bucket seats in my '71 GMC Jimmy, I'm told, are mid '80s F-body [Firebird/Camaro] types. PO put them in mounted on 4" x 4" wooden blocks. The seats are shot but not repairable since they were a moulded-foam-on-wire-springs deal.
Looking to upgrade when my "ship comes in." |

I have a set out of a 69 chevelle that I used in my 70 gmc before I tore it apart, you do sit lower but I liked it and plan on using them again when my truck is back together

Modify the brackets and you can sit as high or low as you'd like.

Picked up a set of 67 Buckets side release and a console off this site. here is the very first mock-up to see how it will look.
I found a distributor who makes houndstooth inserts so I will have these custom covered to make houndstooth covers that look like the bench in my 72 GMC. I like it. |
