Center of dash A/C vent

Converting non A/C cab and need the center vent.

I didn't know you could convert the cab of a non AC truck to an AC truck. Does it look stock? I wouldn't mind seeing pics of yours if you don't mind. Is it a tough job? Are the parts hard to find?
Thanks!

I think I have a center vent but not for sure, do you need the chrome outer piece and the black inner piece?

1970blazin, I will cut the hole in the dash to make the vent fit. I've learned the hard way if I mess it up it doesn't make any difference. I will correct it. And I've made so many mistakes that one more wouldn't matter anyway.

teeitup, I need the complete unit. The hose connection and the vent.

Thanks to both of you for responding.

blazin - I will cut holes in the outer sides of the dash to accommodate the air outlets. Yes with determination you can do most anything with these pickups. I am not trying to be a know-it-all because I certainly am not. I have done enough with these pickups to know that you can do what you want. That's what I like about working with metal. You can do almost anything you want to do.

I did mine it was not to hard. I just driled the holes in the fire wall and used a drimel tool for the dash.

I have a few complete a/c units around in trucks, my loft and piled on the floor hows 35.00 for everything in and under the dash except the vent hoses and g/box liner, used a/c center with plenium 5.00, used a/c balls and retainers 5.00. plus shipping. Anybody local can pick up a complete unit for outer firewall and under/ in dash for 50.00 or 2 for 75.00.

Does anyone have a pic or a sketch of all the parts needed to add AC to our trucks (stock I mean, not aftermarket) And would you go stock with this or aftermarket?? I am just decieding I would love AC if I can swing it. My non-AC blazer is just getting done, and I will be driving the kids around in it (I know some of you will think THAT is crazy, eh?) but I would love to have AC in it.
Thanks for any input.
hobby67stepside- not trying to take over your post-sorry- maybe anyone with input can PM me about this subject-THANKS;)

;) I don't think it is crazy to haul your kids around in it. The best times I have driving my '71 Cheyenne is when my 5 1/2 year old son is with me and he asks if I could "buzz it" That means accelerate like a maniac. He often follows that request with, "We won't tell mom this".

That boy is going to be alright.

He enjoys the ice cold factory air, too!

Good luck with your A/C. Mine was a ***** to fix. I couldn't seem to control the hot air. Once I got the hot air diverted, it has been great.
