Anyone have pics of aftermarket roof liners? Recommendations?

Are they worth it?

No pictures, but I have a 1 piece pvc headliner from Truck Shop. The fit was good but did need some trimming. I added dynamat to the roof before installing the headliner. I'm happy with the results

The Only truck that I know of that has what appears to be an actual roof liner rather than a factory style or pvc headliner is Cole Porter's (Salinas Boys) old red truck.

I have no idea how he did that but it's slick. My thinking is that he used another top as a liner for his top though.

I would think twice about totally enclosing the space, especially if you live in humid environment. My truck which I purchased in AZ and has always been in high desert low humidity climate had the stock headline fail (took 30 years) from condensation from above. Its the same thing that rust out eyebrows, upper back windows and a pillars over time. A fabric liner will give the moisture an easy path, water vapor seeks the path of least resistance. It will also give you a way to take a look now and then to see if there are any problems.

I would think that he did the one i posted above when he had the top off when he chopped it. I can't even visualize sitting inside the cab trying to weld up that liner and then work it so it's that slick.

I tried one (ABS Plastic) from Chevs Of The 40s which is made by someone else and it did not fit and was going to require a lot of modification so I sent it back. I talked to the guy at Hot Rod Doors and he said his fits perfectly. He was familiar with what I was going through with the first one. He also has ABS door panels and the rear cab panels that look great. ABS is a great product because you can heat it to shape it as well as attach all materials to it. I am going to take my '53 Chevy truck to two upholstery shops and get their opinion on what they will do before I decide which one to use. You can purchase ABS plastic 4' x 8' sheets for around $50 and make your own door and rear cab panels.
