6 years ago, I found this truck in Uncle Henry's while on a fishing trip near Jackman ME. first picture is the day I hauled it back to my farm in MA. fast forward to today, took a cruise up into Rocky Mountain National Park. 6 years, one major move, blood sweat tears, and untold treasure. she drives like a dream. :hot::hot::hot:

body was changed, found a nearly rust free one. the old one was MAINELY rusted! also gave a chance to clean up the frame. the original truck has only 110K original miles. added later front axle for PD brakes, found a nice 350 4-bolt motor with very low miles , dressed it up to look like the original 283. swapped out the 4-speed for 3 on the tree. pretty much new from the ground up, except paint.

I think this one might have ended up in the crusher......if I hadn't gone fishing! I'd consider it one of my luckier fishing trips. Paid $500 for the truck. Tightly held secret how much more I put in it.....I'll take that to my grave. Sooner rather than later if my wife finds out!

Ed, I'm glad you finally got your rig out of Kansas. It's been a long haul!

Is it as much fun to drive as we expect? Another 3 months for mine...

Congrats buddy!
