Switching from LWB to LNB

Drunk ran up in my yard and wiped out driver's side of my LWB. Gonna have to get a new bed, thinking about switching to LNB, ya don't see too many of them around. What all changes would I have to make?

Sorry to hear about that. I think it will bolt right on . But you will have to change rear bumpers. Won't have as much bed space. A long wide truck is easier to sell than a long step. I have turned down several.

That sucks. FYI, LWB=Long Wheel Base (didn't understand you at first). Besides that, I'll agree you loose a lot of bed space with a stepside and they seem to be the least desirable/hardest to sell trucks. If it's what you want, go for it. As already noted, I think you just need the stepside rear bumper and the cab filler panels.

Sorry hear about the truck damage. Did they catch the driver of the other car?

Yeah, he's a real brilliant guy. Left the wrecked car in my driveway(it was totaled), took about ten minutes to get his name and address. His mommy made him turn himself in.

Hopefully he was insured and at least you can get the repairs paid for.

I hope insurance takes care of you, or he ends up paying restitution.

Who says it doesn't mean long wide bed? ;)

I did this with my 63, it was a bolt on operation, I did need to source the cab filler panels off a step, and the rear bumper and brackets, as the others have mentioned.
