Re: parting 80 blazer... scrap next week....

Mike,
Could you post a picture so I can make sure it is the right one? I am normally on the 67-72 side and not real familiar with the 73 up. If its right I will take it.

Thanks
Richard

Re: parting 80 blazer... scrap next week....

Mike, does the engine run good? Any smoke? Is it complete?
The 350 on my blazer is stuck, I just want to get the Blazer moving under its own power. I am not looking for a brand new crate motor but also don't want to swap the engine just to have to do it again.

Re: parting 80 blazer... scrap next week....

Richard, I'll take pics when I get home tomorrow afternoon if the weather is good.......

Shawn.... It seems to run good, but I have only run it off if fuel in the carb bowl.... I have had it running 10-15 minutes that way (old gas in tank so i didnt trust it) and the antifreeze and oil looked good... It is not the original motor (CSA) stamping, and other than that I don't know much about it.... It'd be a bit of a road trip, but your always welcome at our place.... Been a few years since I eas last out at your place..... Could meet you somewhere too.....

Is that interior tan? How are the seat belts?

Re: parting 80 blazer... scrap next week....

Mike I am going to pull the intake and heads off the motor in the Blazer and see what I have. I just got the intake off, taking an ice cream break and then will pull the left head and see if there's a mess under there.

Re: parting 80 blazer... scrap next week....

Mike,
Thanks for the pictures. It is different than what I need so I will have to pass. I need it to fit the 73 style latch which I assume is real close to the 69-72. This is a way different bracket.

Re: parting 80 blazer... scrap next week....

ill look at the lenses when I go out there in the morning for you.... am/fm is shoddy early 80's? aftermarket and may not be what you want... I do have a factory delco am/fm cassette that is correct for late 77 to 87 that is extremely nice... pm me if your interested with your email and I can get you pics.....don't want to post in this thread as it technically isn't part of this truck.....

I am also keeping the tow hooks and front push bar as well.... so if anyone is interested.... windshield glass is good with antenna imbedded but not going to ship, and the seats are too rusted in so they are going with unless someone wants them last minute....
