02 6.0 4x4 trans, what fits?

so i just bought a 02 chevy cab and a half 4x4 6.0 auto 3500 dually. the motor is supposed to have issues but have not got to it yet. i know for a fact the trans is fried. what trans do i need to look for? 4l80e is what it has im sure, just not sure what years fit. i have a good 4l60e out of a 02 5.3 4x4 but it will not work, correct? would love to convert to manual but im sure that $$$$.

The 4L80E can easily by bolted to a NP205 with a new adapter from Advanced Adapters (I've been told you can machine the factory adapter from a TH400 to NP205 quite easily). The 2 wheel drive trans is the easiest because you remove the tail shaft housing and replace it with the adapter and the tail shaft is long enough. You would want to use the NP205 from behind a TH400.
If you want to add super low range you get a Magnum Box from Off Road Design and it acts as the adapter between the 4L80E and NP205.

so any idea where i could find the speed sensors at? pretty sure its an 80. has a hole up high on the drivers side that i believe should have been a speed sensor and i think it has one behind the big grey plug on the lower rear drivers side. so would a 60 work behind it with the same computer?

The only way you could get a 4l60e behind a 6.0 was in a Yukon denali or a vortec maxx truck.

Its a 3500 dually. There is no way it has a 4l60e. You want to look for a 4l80e. I'm not sure on the year range that you would be looking for.
