If I read the other thread right, it sounds like you need some wire looms. Here is a low dollar trick that a racecar builder taught me. Take the wires that you want to group together and loosely put a zip tie around them where you want them loomed. Then, in between the wires, put zip ties around the outside. now tighten it all up. Worked great when I put the engine in my old 86 GMC.

SWEET idea. how about turning the tie wrap over? At any rate that looks pretty good man. Ill have to try it.

It was a daily driver, and I didn't really care about looks too much. But yes you could turn them over.

that IS pretty awesome! cool look! i will probably try that as a temp fix.

but as soon as i get those louvers in my hood plugged, i am looking to chrome my engine. the loomes i had before were chrome, but were prone to cutting the wires. (see pics) so now i will look for chrome looms that hook to the top of my valve covers (which have a spot for looms to bolt on).

The truck in the picture is a 1986 GMC. I know the guy who had it before me put por15 on that master.

another little tip that makes a big difference, there is 2 wires that go from one side of the distributor to the opposite side of the engine, run those behind the distributor

I just got tired of my messy spark plug wires, so I bought myself a pair of these. I'm not usually impressed with Spectre stuff, but these are pretty nice!!

personally i like the wire looms than run parallel to the exhaust manifold and plus having zap straps means you have to cut them everytime you wanna change plug wires

I have both.A set of looms and wire ties.Yellow ties to match the yellow wires on the yellow blazer.I don't plan on changing my plug wires that often.The wire ties keep the wires seperated,and when pulled off the motor they are kept in order.I need to get some pics to post.

Jason's idea went over pretty well at the shop not too long ago. Had a van come in and the guy gave us some cheap ass wires to install and they were all like 10 feet long or something. (vans have a terible time with always burning wires)
Boss man saw me walking over to it with a dozen or so zip ties and was wondering WTF, but he looked in and was pretty impressed.

heres the wires i was talking about, seems like they are #3 and #2, if they are long enough you can run them behind the distributor and it makes a cleaner look

heres one i learned from my old man ... before you cut off the extra....take a needle nose pliers and grap onto it and twist a few times...they will break off flush and you wont cut or scrap up your hands next time your under the hood ....
